5 Pregnancy-Friendly Mocktails to Enjoy this Summer

Whether you’re trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding/chestfeeding, we know how tough it can be when your friends are sipping on fun cocktails and you can’t join in. For you experienced parents, just the thought of having the kids off of school for the summer may have you missing that happy hour pick-me-up (that you may not have been able to enjoy for years). Luckily, there are tons of delicious mocktail options that can help satisfy that desire. Here are our favourites for you to enjoy this summer.

 

Raspberry Lemonade Virgin Mojito

Nothing says summer quite like a glass of lemonade. This Raspberry Lemonade Mojito is tart, fizzy and sweet and will have you dreaming of tropical beaches. Making your own simple syrup and muddling mint may seem like a lot of work but we promise it’s easier than it sounds. We recommend making a big batch of simple syrup to keep in the fridge so you can easily whip up this drink whenever you want to indulge.

What You’ll Need

  • Mint leaves
  • Simple syrup
  • Lime juice
  • Dasani Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

 

Alcohol-Free Singapore Sling

Bon Appetit has amazing recipes, but did you know they also have a great selection of drink recipes? This Singapore Sling is pretty much just fancy juice so it’s quick and easy to make. If you throw it in a fancy glass and garnish it with a bit of mint, it will feel just like a fancy cocktail from your favourite bar. 

What You’ll Need

  • Pomegranate juice
  • Mango juice
  • Pineapple juice
  • Lime juice
  • Tonic water
  • Mint
 

Frozen Peach Bellini Mocktail

Since it’s frozen, this is the perfect drink to cool you off on a hot summer day. Since peach season is just around the corner you can use fresh peaches, but you can also use frozen if that’s easier!

What You’ll Need

  • Peaches
  • Sugar
  • Ice
  • Club Soda
 

New Mommy Margarita

Luckily,  this Margarita Mocktail recipe has you covered. Use some of that simple syrup you already made a batch of, salt the rim of your glass, and you’re good to go. 

What You’ll Need

  • Limeade
  • Orange juice
  • Simple syrup 
  • Club soda
  • Sugar and coarse salt 
  • Lime
  • Ice

 

Mocktail Mule – Great for Pregnancy Nausea

This recipe is quick and easy to make, and don’t worry, although it doesn’t sound like it, ginger beer is alcohol free!

  • Ginger beer
  • Sparkling water
  • Mint
  • Lime
